anyone wanting to do a good spring ride on the blueridge parkway?we are getting on at buena vista and going south to the dragons tail.a lot of fuel and butt stops along the way.only thing you need to bring is a sleeping bag and gas and food money.the one that stinks the most when we get back wins a tank of gas.maby we should change that, shane always wins(lol).there are lots of places to shower and change along the way.it takes 5 to 6 days to do this trip.we stop and wash clothes at halfway point.it is a very nice ride and speed limit is 45 on parkway and the sites are great.we are getting together to set a date now if you want to go.

That sounds really cool to me; unfortunately it is too far away for me to participate.
I am all for a mid Ohio run sometime this spring. I’m near Dayton and I know we have some Columbus members on here. Let me know if anyone wants to put a ride together in these parts.:)

I ride in all of it too, otherwise i would get the spike air cleaner. One group I ride with even if the weatherman says sunny and nice it will rain and have tornados or something like that you can just count on that.

Just a small 'word to the wise' here.

I've ridden the Dragon several times and conditions can be less than favorable in April or even May. It can snow, sleet, or ice in early May there! :(

The Parkway / Dragon area is a great ride! Those who haven't been there should go at least once. Friendly folks, great scenery, good roads and plenty of good times to be had. Just something the think about to keep you between the ditches! :)
