Checked on it today, 35 to program power commander at the dealer down here. Not that bad of a price since you just need to reprogram after each major mod. Figure exhaust, intake, rebuild, and your at 105 total in programming for the most normal people do to bikes. That def sold me on it rather than the other FMU's

You can do it yourself with a 9 volt battery and a computer. They're probably just downloading the map off of the Dynojet website. Our service department charges a similar rate for doing it, but when someone buys the power commander from my parts dept I just do it for free. Its just a matter of plugging the commander into a computer, loading the associated map from dynojets site, and hooking back up to your bike.

They have a dyno there, dont get why they would just load a map when they have a dyno and can get it better to make more satisfied customers. If they just do they Dynojet map I would be a little upset since i can do that myself for free and i can actually tune it relatively close for free too. just since i found how cheap it was esp if they use their dyno on it i would go that route

The power commander V for the fury does not need the 9-volt anymore. All you need to do is hook up the supplied usb and upload the map. Makes things a little easier.

Thats a real good deal if they use the dyno for that price. Shops around here charge half an hour labor just to download a map from the site and add it to the power commander... and people who don't understand how easy it is just pay that without hesitation.

If by 'program' they mean download a pre-dyno'ed map into the pc5, by all means just do that yourself; even doing it for the first time you're talking literally 10 minutes or so, following instructions step-by-step and using the pc5 and supplied USB cable right out of the package. On the other hand, if they're actually offering you a dyno run for $35 bucks, by all means grab that baby and run with it. But I'd be surprised.

One other note: the maps from dynojet's website are still rather sparse; a stock intake/exhaust configuration, and one for stock air/cobra swepts with baffles, if I remember right. You can doublecheck for additions, but I don't think there's any others.

S&S has put out several free maps for their air intake and several different aftermarket pipes; I was using their map for s&s intake/baffled cobra swepts. they also did unbaffled cobra's, and the one I recently changed to which is s&s intake/fuggin' viper 2 pipes. don't know if they have others, but they'll send them out free to anyone who asks, or I'll be happy to post any map here that I have if anyone needs but doesn't have it. Also, if you don't have the S&S aircleaner but DO have aftermarket pipes that S&S dyno'ed for, you may want to consider using their map - the S&S air intake is probably closer to say D&M or D&M clones intake than a map with stock intake and your pipes (whichever they are). Just a suggestion ...

I dont know i used to get car pulls for about 80 for an hour block tuning myself, but I also do some of the GM tuning for the shop or they borrow my GM rig so i dont pay for car pulls any more. For the bike i figured about 30 mins worst case to tune it and a few more mins to hook up so was expecting about 80-100 to tune it, but 35 doesnt seem too unrealistic. Once i get the PC-V I will have to talk to them and see if that is with the dyno Pull or just upload.

Holy $#!^ they are nuts for prices on dyno runs, a car is cheaper per hour from what i saw online, and to dyno tune a bike roughly 250 to run it. I doubt that shop is tuning with their dyno for 35 bucks, but figured they would have a better idea of what to do since that is all they mostly do, and since car pulls are about 80 for an hour it would be about the same on a bike. I guess im doing the redneck dyno for my bike

Hi There, Stonewheel -just joined the FuryForum tonight! I too have the Fuggin' viper 2 pipes on my 2010 Fury, currently with a Fuggin' Fuel Processor and stock air box. Seems to be tuned correctly but wanted to try the PCV (to get rid of the speed limiter) and run S&S filter. You mentioned you have the map file for this setup, could you please send? Thanks very much for the info and file! -John
