I had to literally beat the hell out of mine with a dead blow hammer to get them off. Beat them so bad they were damaged beyond repair. Just threw them away.
Yeah.....yeah.....Glad I was able to provide a little chuckle for everyone. Fact is, I'm one of those people who follow instructions religiously, but also one who gets righteously pissed when the things that should be easy, become difficult. The bolts WERE already removed and it simply would not slide off as the Raw Design instructions indicated it would. After checking and rechecking everything and 15 minutes of trying to slide it off, I simply said screw it and decided to show it who was boss. Didn't matter 'cause I was going to toss it anyway. Looking back on it, I actually got a lot of satisfaction out of finally beating it into submission. You know....it was the manly, testosterone driven alternative to defeat at the hands of an inanimate object that we all occasionally resort to. I'm sure you can relate! Anyway, after having the Raw Reaper tips for a couple of months, I decided to go with the Fuggin Reapers which I'll be installing when the weather finally takes a turn for the better here in Baltimore.Next time, you may want to consider removing the bolts BEFORE applying the dead-blow hammer. Just a suggestion...........LOL.
