You set the torque wrench to the proper torque and crank it down till it clicks.Im guessing thats what you wanted to know?So I feel silly asking this. How do you know when you reach the torque spec?
Thank you very much!axel bolt is 94 ft lbs.
I was reading this thread and unsure of the question. Right on on the axle bolt but if you mean the pinch bolt for a side mount accutronix style plate that is only 20 ft. lbs.Thank you very much!
Thx Painter, yea i didnt mean the axle nut just the swingarm bolt that holds the plate mount on.I was reading this thread and unsure of the question. Right on on the axle bolt but if you mean the pinch bolt for a side mount accutronix style plate that is only 20 ft. lbs.

Mine is doing this too. I havn't taken it in yet, but the dealer said they've seen that before on VTX1300s.I have a question not pertaining to the torque spec's, I'm just not sure how to start a thread. Has anyone else noticed the chrome "bubbling" up around the bolts on the left sidecase of their Fury? I just bought the Kury engine covers and noticed that the chrome is "lifting" in the valleys where the bolts are mounted. I am going to take it back to the dealer as soon as it quits raining. I was just wondering if I am the only one this is happening to. I hate to dress up the engine only to have the sidecase look like crap. Thanks for any feedback on this.
