The Americade ride to Lake George NY really is a great time. I have a lot of riding friends who are making the trip. I know I'm going to take a lot of crap about it when they get back but my bike is just not set up with the proper gear needed for a trip such as this so I had to opt out on this trip. Hope everyone making the trip has a great time and drive safe.

Can't go this year but it is my favorite rally. We always stay at a B&B on the banks of Lake Champlain. Beautiful riding. Have fun!

hey guys, me and my boy are thinking about taking a day trip from ct, its about a 3 hour ride each way. is it worth heading up for the day?

I would think that it is. Just to see the streets of Lake George lined with bikes on both sides and then full of bikes on the move would be worth the trip. Plus there are vendors not associated with Americade on Rte.9 below the Village of Lake George and in the Village of Warrensburg which is 5 miles north of the Village of Lake George on Rte. 9. Just make sure that you are street legal. Loud pipes are very highly discouraged by the promoters of Americade and that trickles down to the local authorities. Come on up to the place we call home and enjoy.

I'll be heading up to Lake George on thursday I just hope my new blue Fury is ready for me to pick up by then! I went down to N.A. warhorse tuesday and filled out the financing papers and put a down payment and now it seems like they are dragging their feet. I've called so many times about the status of my financing that the guy finally said "look, they'll call you once they process your loan." I just wish there was some way to light a fire and get them to hurry up! I don't know how much longer I can wait!

I may have to miss the Americade this year which disappoints me. I am hoping to have my bike before the weeks end. I would like to make that trip the first miles she has on her. Unfortunately I will have to sleep in a dumpster since funds will be low and there is no place for me to stay. I had a share but gave it to someone else because I didnt want to pay for 3 nights if I would be staying one night. No B&B's near the strip since after the day long ride I would like to grab some drinks. Whoever is going have a blast!
