Well I thought lets share my experience with the bikersfriend bag.
(Couldn't find a quick method for resizing the pictures, sorry)

If you got no sissybar:

Its not necessary to have a sissbar, you can strap the bag under the passenger seat with the included materials.

If you've got a sissbar and want to travel with your girl/wife then the following might be an option:

You can buy the bikerfriend fenderguard, stick it onto the rear fender. Then put the bag onto the fenderguard and attach it on the sissybar/rear lollipops.

that's not something I'd want on my bike for the most part but it does look like it could be pretty useful for those longer rides... Instead of having a backpack putting weight on your shoulders. Not bad!
Lol what if you have no backseat either?

That looks comfortable for long rides, but I don't have a backseat at all so I may be stuck with the backpack. I only do 1 or 2 long rides a year anyway.

he doesn't have a back seat either. if you look again, you'll see a suction cup pad that sticks to the rear fender so the bag doesn't rub the paint.
Call me crazy but it sure looks like te backseat is on the first pic and I know it is on the last 2 because it is connected to the sissy bar. If it works for no backseat as well (and I don't need the turnsignals since I removed them) I may have to buy this. So does the pad lay down to protect the fender and the the suction cups hold the bag down or what? Does the bag stay down well with just the suction cups holding it down?
i see a backrest and sisy bar its attaching too,,,i did something like that with an old tour master bag, not as large ,,hooks on same way. RG he has a back seat on there

The Bikersfriend is what I have but of course I have a tall sissy bar. I do need one of those sucion cups to go on the fender though. Nice to start out in the morning with the jacket and then have a place to store it and the little ladies when it starts heating up in the day. I have the medium and it will hold a 30 pack but that is not with ice and I can't stand hot beer. Nice to lean back on too.

too me it loos like he is showing 2 different ways to use the bag,,ontop of the back seat and behind the back rest using the clips to hold it in place and the pad to protect it from scrating the fender when riding with a passenger,,leasts thats the way I see it,,yes??????????

dragboat, I've been eyeballing that bikersfriend myself as I'm not a backpack kinda person.....need something to carry something in if I decide to ride into the city and stop off at a store or something.....what size do you have? Looks like it might be nice to be able to lean back on it as well.

Let's see, the bikersfirend, or an s&s intake, or a c&c seat??????Hmmmm....just got done buying a stove and a fridge...so my next purchase will be for my bike (after I spend money on mother's day)....

yep Bill 100% correct.
That's right. He IS running a back seat. Sorry, at first glance it looked like a sissy bar on the back of a solo seat. My fault guys.

Woodenhorse I bought the medium bag and love it. If the little lady is not on the back to lean on then there is the bag. Sure does give a needed rest on long rides. Most of my rides is not just around the corner. If I ride north with my buddies then it is 50 miles just to his house. When you go on their site you see choppers with them mounted and looks good.;)

Thanks Dragboat....I'm gonna get one soon.....did you get those locking wires with it?

I think I got 2 bungie cords 2 straps and 4 locking wire ties that you can reuse. The large I thnk is on 2 inches bigger around and am not sure if it is any longer but they make one i believe is a little longer and will hold 2 full face helmets. Not sure I haven't been on their site in awhile. Well made product and you have to have some kind of storage.

Thanks Dragboat...I agree, need some storage sometimes! I was just curious as to whether or not you could lock it up so a theif would have to use a little effort to get into it.....I know they sell a braided wire with little pad locks....was curious as to whether you got that or not.

I did not understand when you asked about locks. Got a cool handle on it to carry it with. We don't have to much trouble with the thieves. If you want, get an old one and put a rattler in it and let them open that, put a few rags in it so they will dig around. If a thief wants it he will get it but it sure is nice when he gets something he really did not want. You'll like it can go to the store and pick up a loaf of bread with out having to carry it in your teeth.
