Hi I have the Cobras on my bike and took the baffles out, cut them in half and put the other half back. This was in January when I did this so the air was very cold. I tried them completely out and it seemed like the bike bogged. Now that it is summer time here in TX and almost 100 degrees outside, I'm thinking of taking them back out. Could I get away with this without a fuel controller? My airbox is also stock too.

You might search the thread, "Honda Fury FAQ". One of our members is currently trying to compile all kinds of information for answering frequently asked questions, so there's a good chance you will find your answer there.

However, my personal opinion is you need a fuel controller as well as some kind of baffle to provide some back pressure.

I did it for a long time without baffles then bought a spike and put the FC on at the same time

Ack, thanks for suggesting this again... I will add something soon to the FAQ. Best thing to remember is that if you do not have baffles in, then you will need some kind of fuel controller, with baffles in and a stock air box, no fuel controller.

How did it handle or better yet, sound without the baffles and the stock airbox? Was there much popping, how did the pipes and bikes honestly sound without them in? Most people did not like it, tis why they went the direction of getting an aftermarket cleaner and the Fuel Controller...

Did good Red, sounded good too only a little pop on deceleration other than that no problems. Ran them like that for about a thousand miles before I put the FC and spike on.
