So I'm cruising home last night, it's a beautiful calm, warm night and the roads were deserted. So I'm going down a country highway at 55mph and decide to bend real low to actually be shielded by the small wind screen. As I'm bent over it struck me to put my feet up on the passenger pad. (keeping them crossed) Essentially laying down on the gas tank. My head lifted enough to see through the wind screen. Damned if it wasn't comfortable. A small pad of foam rubber for the tank and I could ride that thing all day long laying down.

(Disclaimer: Probably not the safest thing in the world)

Yeah, Ive been doin that on my shadow for years. I think its just a switch of position on long rides that makes it feel comfortable. You are right comfortable but probably not safe.

I dont have the windsheild and laying forward helps alot. At highway speeds even without the windsheild I lean forward and look just above the spedometer and it cuts out the wind in my face. I couldnt do it for a long time, but it is a good break from the wind.
