Okay so I want to get black finish 12 inch apes for my bike, id prefer to go a bit cheaper than the 360$ ones im finding on Amazon. Would anyone mind linking me to the bars, risers, and cables? I’m not too savy here to figure things out on my own and I’d likely end up getting the wrong fitments.

hey brother you can use harley SPRINGER handlebars they do NOT have a speedo mount... I ordered got 8in springer bars and got a speedo bracket from STG(waiting on the bracket to install).. I ordered RSD bars and they didnt fit the knurl is 3.5 you need 4.5 so i wasted 330. on those had them to long to return... cables you will have to change risers i got 2 sets 1 a no name and the other are brass balls riser for springer.. good luck

few photos of the fury with apes: I'm very happy with them, it does change how the bike handles but makes it quite unique, esp here in Ireland.

came out great Seamus, how do you like the ride now? And my family is from the old country... Connemara coast was the place my parents lived before having me in Boston(southie is the place all the irish went)... my Ma hates that I have never been home to Ireland.. I keep telling her home is the place you are born and my Da was alway quick with the back hand.. so he thinks I am a son of Ireland...lol

So what I’m reading sounds like I can’t just get a set of apes that I like off of Amazon and bolt the stock speedo on like any other bike? 😿😿 I haven’t gotten to taking it apart yet but I was hoping it was just friction mounted and as long as the bars were sized right it would work

That’s why I’m going to have @Furi15 fab me up a set of bars so I can re-use the existing speedo

@bassfreake. You have to have a speedometer mount fabbed into a set of bars. There are some companies out there that do produce bars with the speedometer mount (Fury specific), but they are few and far between. There are some that relocate the speedo down by the air box or ignition cover. There are a few, like me, that deleted the speedometer altogether.

Oh yours looks pretty sick. I wouldn’t pass inspection without a speedo of some kind though. Maybe I’ll see what it would cost to put an aftermarket speedo on

He’s just as cheap….
Oh? I just assumed it would be in the $400+ range cuz that’s what I’ve seen so far out there

@Furi15 I was thinking something like these. I’m also probably going to have to mod my faring a bit cuz it comes back pretty far but that’s a different issue lol

I can do similar style, but I don't have a pipe roll to curve them. That much material, you're still looking at a price of about $300 though.
Ok thanks! I’ll have to look into my options a bit. Might just have to save up a little more for a set of Mean Cycle ones unless I can find a speedo I like
