For any of you that is looking for a good helmet this is a good price. I always hated wearing a helmet but bought a Shoei RF1000 last year and it is a comfortable light weight helmet that is quiet that looks good too. They have colors that would look good with all the Fury models. Shoei RF-1000 Helmets - Solids - Closeout Shoei Competition Accessories

I've got the RF-1100. Great helmet.

Shoei's are some of the best constructed helmets out there. They are almost entirely hand made from scratch. The only mechanical process in the entire production cycle is the cutting of the ventilation holes in the shell. I have worn the RF1000 for years and would never think about putting any other brand on. An RF1000 saved my life when I went under a guard rail at 55 mph. You get what you pay for.
I have this one for my daily commute to work and back... Nice helmet...

I picked up a RF-1000 Diabolic Zero about 3 weeks ago through Cycle Gear - Fort Worth on their one night sale. It was the day we got 12 inches of snow in the Dallas area. But I caught it on clearance, plus 20% off for the sale day and had a $20.00 off card. Out the door with a new smoked visor for $280.00 with tax. When I bought my Fury the accessory store at the dealer had them for $449.00. I love it. Great helmet.

Lol... you know you would be loving it too... shoosh... :p
anyone have a fullface with the flipdown sun visor? not sure what the technical name is ,but its a extra partial shield that can be lowered when needed-not enough room in my pockets to carry a extra shield as i ride to work in the daytime and on the way home its dark
I use a clear full face helmet but change my eye wear
I picked up a prescription eye wear that has three lens that came with it.
smoke, clear and yellow with my prescription insert that works with all three lens..

I have one, actually its is an open face with a full shield (clear) and then has the auto flip down sun visor, works great but decided to go with full face now. Talked with helmet dealer, said protection would be less because of the sun visor mechanism is built into the top part of the helmet....makes sense...
I have a big bulky HJC and after reading all the glowing reports, I think I will have to check these out. Good thread.

Scorpion actually makes a Modular Full Face Helmet with a Flip Down Visor. The helmet is DOT approved, but not Snell approved because Snell will not approve a modular helmet. The helmet is called an EXO 900 Transformer. It is quite comfortable because they have added an air pump system that conforms to the riders head. It's kind of like the old Reebok style pumps. The flip down sun visor works both when the face is up or down. It retails for $269.00, but I'm sure you can find them cheaper online.

The smoke visor on my Shoei is lighter than the one on my KBC. I haven't tried it at night, but the KBC was difficult to see out one time I had to deal with it after sundown. A buddy says his iridescent visor isn't hard to see through at night. Too bad no one has come out with a half and half visor.

Actually HJC makes fade visors for their helmets that go from a tint at the top to clear half way down.
