150 miles on my completly stock Fury... Runs and rides beautifully. At Idle and only at idle I hear a slight small ticking sound that goes away immediatly on throttle of any kind... Think it's normal from what I have been reading but Im no Tech and have no idea... Thanks people... Appreciate it

im gonna go out on a limb and say its normal. I have never owned or ridden a HD .. but its funny how Honda makes this bike to act like one. I have noticed, the ticking at idel ... the clunking of gear selection ... and slight vibrations while at idel in the engine, tank and mirrors!

What is not normal, the buzzing sound i have up front now during excelleration. Its either my Honda windshield is loose or the mechanic left something loose in the head light housing he replaced last week.

Good luck & ride safe.

I get that buzzing sound also and it actually ended up been the Speedo cover.
i intially thought that this may be where its coming from, but after pressing on the speedos face cover while riding, the buzzing didnt go away.

How did you stop the buzzing on the speedo, if you dont mind me asking?

I kept hearing and it was driving me crazy so I just started messing with stuff and it went away when I grabbed the top of the speedo and pushed down a little. It still comes back off and on.
i may tackle this today. I think ill look at the head light first, as the buzzing didnt start until i had the housing replaced last Sat. Then its off to the Fury manual and take apart the speedo and poke around in there for a bit. But im glad to see that im not the only one who is going nuts with the buzzing.

Thx CBS. So your ticks slightly at idle too, since new? And still does it?
This is my first bike, and i just started riding again after 20+ years off of one. This was one of the first things i noticed, that the bike is in no means quiet. When i take it in for the 600 mile service im sure it may be tweeked a little, but im pretty sure its all part of having this bike. An import that wants to be a domestic .. with the sounds and the welds.

Probably a valve, when you put a load on it, it quiets down, nothing to worry about, the 1300 engine has always been noisey, will probably go away after the first service. A slappy valve is a happy valve.

Actually wasn't that noticable with the dealer gas last week, put in 3 gallons of 93 a few days ago now I notice it more... Hmmmmmmm, Only have 100 miles on it... Actually the gas station I did go to wasn't the place I normally go.. Could be just lousy gas....
