You have to loosen the exhaust to remove the cover.

Thats what I was afraid of. This might become a pain in the ass since I like to ride as much as weather in FL will permit (raining now) My wife also really enjoys going riding as well. We have a big group of friends that we've rode with for years, and all get together as much as possible so adjusting the shock as become almost part of my checklist
