I'm debating on ordering a Spike Air Intake, can anyone tell me if weather may affect the performance of the intake filter if it gets wet? I live in Florida and storms come out of no where sometimes. Just making sure because they are kinda pricey.....

You can get one of these pre filters and keep with you when you ride, then just slip it on when it starts to rain.

I have used the Kuryakn air filters on carburetted bikes and yes, speed can increase the air intake... but it is not very noticable if it is jetted properly. If they become saturated with water that can affect performance. The filters are easily cleaned and oiled again.
