Just got my spoiler and LED light kit, and of course, I wanted to install them right away. The instructions would have you snake the wiring harness thru and get the spoiler installed before checking the lighting.
Needless to say, I wanted to make sure the lighting worked before bolting the spoiler on. I followed the instructions, which are relatively easy. Its basically a wiring harness and even comes with a fuse once you clip it into the fuse box.
Of course the thing didn't work!
Now It's late, I have to work tomorrow, and I'm pissed! I re checked all the connectors, and everything is fine. So now I will try to sleep wondering if it's the bike, or the lights.
Anyway, I have a question for all the fury owners with the spoilers. Is this thing supposed to be relatively loose? Mounting instructions have three rubber grommets, with sleeves running through them, so it just seems like this thing would float quite a bit. I have not mounted it yet, but that's the impression I get with the brackets installed on the spoiler, and I would appreciate any feedback.

Bummer!

Sorry to here about it! I like you stay awake or go back to bike to try one more time!! Good luck you ll figure it out. I have read people get bolts from local hardware stores to secure that spoiler if you search tech thread some else had done the mod to secure that expensive badboy!! Honda has been real weak on bracket for this one.

I want to get one soon and hope those LED look cool or can light up the ground ahead a little!. Saltydog did the bolt thing if Im right!

Spoiler LED light not working?

I recently bought the Honda OEM spoiler with LED lights. I went to install the LED kit to the fuse box as shown in the instructions but the lights will not turn on.

I checked to see if there was any electricity coming out of the wiring harness to the black module and there was. I re-checked and re-connected all wires at least 3 times but still do not know where I am going wrong.

I tried contacting Honda customer service but they said they would get to me. I am not holding my breath with Honda.

For all your experts here, what am I doing wrong or do I just have a defective unit?

I do not have any experience with the Fury leds, but all the other Honda running lights / fog lights only work with the low beams. Try switching to your low beams and see. That black module may be a relay

I did try with the low beams and high beams as well as turning on the bike, nothing.

Honda customer service actually called me back and they believe I have a defective unit assuming that I followed all the directions properly.

At this point, my guess would be a defective unit since I don't know what I could have done wrong, its just plug and play. I will probably have to exchange the LED kit with another.

Did you hook up the wire that you have pull the black tape off of on the bike to the light harness? Mine did the Dane thing until I figured out that I didn't have that write hooked up in the right place.

I did connect the light harness wire to each other and then connected the other wire to the back of the fuse and added the fuse. Nothing lighted up.

At this point, I am not sure what I could be doing or missing since everything is connected.

This is why I believe the kit is defective.

Look in the directions that came with it. There is a wire on the bike that has a connector already on it and it is tapped over with black tape on the wire loom. If you did not hook up that wire it will not work. I had the same problem. If you can't find it, I'll look at mine in the morning.

This might be a solution. Is the wire you are talking about on the bike and not on the harness?

Do I connect the bike's wire to the light harness wire on the actual kit?

On the harness, there was a taped part with clear coating and I thought that I just connect this two parts on the harness together.

I guess I am missing your part.

Thank you so much for the information. I went out to the bike and looked for the wire you mentioned and indeed I failed to hook it up to the harness. I thought that the clear cover on the harness was extra.

I was able to get the lights working.

Thank you for going out of your way to help and offering assistance.

This is why is forum is so awesome.

Have a great holiday weekend and enjoy some riding.
