Looking to remove the switch box housings on the bars and replacing with chrome versions....before the project even began ran into a problem with the stuburn screws underneath. Feels like the heads are about to strip out...looking at the heads closer it appears the phillips head screws may be some type of specialty screws. Anyone remove these and run into the same problem..and how did you solve it. Thanks in advance.

I sent everything on my handlebars off and had it chromed rather than find covers or aftermarket replacements.

They are #2 Phillips if you mean the ones that hold the 2 halves together
