Just wanted to post a general thank you to the members of this forum. You all helped me tremendously... Been 25 yrs since I sold my last bike & I'd never have considered anything from Japan til I started reading this forum. You folks helped me make the Fury choice & do the first round of mods (it had to have the right sound!!). Friday I took it out for a 200 mile run & I'm one happy camper... So, thanks again!!

I agree with the OP. You guys sure are creative and quite sharp. Too bad I am running out of dough to catch up with you big dogs but I have plenty of time lol. Every day I am learning something new. From a simple lowering the front turn signals like RSS posted to DIY LED tailights. Just too much information to take in all at once. Good luck with your ride!

1st Round Mods

Would have posted a pic of the bike & list of mods, but haven't figured out how yet cause I'm old and a technopeasant... Do they go under signature?
Anyway... Started with a gross black Fury... Did some for function & others for looks. Function included Cobra Swept pipes, Fi2000R, PowrFlo Air Intake, Avon AirCushion grips, Cobra Lightbar (the way some folks here drive wanted to make sure they saw me coming) & the Honda Boulevard windscreen. Looks... Kury Chrome Eng Covers, Stainless Steel Throttle & Clutch cables, Big Bike Chrome Brake Reservior cover. Did it all before taking the bike home... I've been married a long time & sometimes it's just easier if the lady thinks that's the way it came! Next round (which she's already on-board with)will include a more comfortable/better fit saddle (started to lose feeling in my right leg at about the 100 mile mark) that includes a decent passenger perch, the Canella risers & L&M fork extenders. Then I'll ride for a while to figure out if I need the extra 3" new front controls/pegs will give me (I have long legs). This fall I get the custom paint done... Seems to me somebody mentioned earlier "spend, spend"... It's a great base bike to work with... how can you not????

Sounds cool. To do the mods like some of us have them listed, they go in the signature. Posting pictures you need to use a hosting service like photobucket, myspace, facebook,... put the pictures up on that website then get the link for the photo, (you can RT click photo and click properties tab, then copy the link) then either click the Yellow box with the mountains and put the link in the pop up window, it will auto insert it, or type link [ /IMG] without the spaces and it will embed the images

here is an example, one of my first pics when i put pipes on http://c3.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/141/l_741f3c5140e345b5a0e6419b7c2131b6.jpg is the url for just the picture

http://c3.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/141/l_741f3c5140e345b5a0e6419b7c2131b6.jpg[/ IMG] is the way i would have it all typed in for embedding without the spaces in the image boxes

is the end result of it

want to post pix? IM has explained one method, here's another:

in a nutshell, you can still post a reply to any other specific post, just don't use the Quick Reply button. Instead use the POST REPLY button on the bottom left side of the last post in a thread.
1. You'll get a tool bar with an ATTACHMENTS paper clip icon. click on the paper clip.
2. expand the new window. Browse to your PC's photo location and upload a photo.
3. after uploading, click on the drop-down arrow next to the paper clip and insert the pic(s).

Also, you can move the inserted html code around your copy to suit your editorial requirements.

go to the FURY FORUM FAQ and it's explained in detail.
