Hi all i'm new to the site.
I own a 2012 honda fury 1300 and have had no issues really to speak of.
but my bike started serging when i would throttle up so i checked the battery and found it to be bad replaced the battery and that problem went away.
now the engine turns over but won't hit.
does anyone know what the problem might be?

We're happy to help, but need a bit of background information.

How many miles are on the Fury? Where is the bike from, and where is it being driven now? How old is the fuel? How long did it sit? What diagnostics did you perform? Do you have a Honda Fury Service Manual or the Honda Common Service Manual that takes you through troubleshooting steps?

the fuel was a day old, it was sold here in colorado springs, it was parked for 13 hours from my last ride. amd i downloaded a complete repair manual for it after i posted this, just haven't had the chance to mess with it yet.
i was just wondering if the stop switch would have something to do with it?

The stop switch and kickstand safety won't fire the starter, there's probably another issue that can be narrowed down by the diagnostic chart in the shop manual.

The only issue I know of when replacing the battery is a fuse can pop from the current surge. Hopefully you narrow it down quickly and it's an easy fix.

By the battery next to the rear fender there is an orange plug. If that’s worked loose or the wires to it are loose, your bike will turn over but not run. I’ve had this problem on my bike
Can you place a picture of the plug you are speaking of. I am having the problem with my bike and the guy working on it cannot locate it. I am not able to go look at my bike due to family illness. Anything would help.
