Well as most of you know that I have propably the highest mileage so far on my bike and there for have used most of the tread on my tire... 14,542 miles.

Here is what I saw this morning after I went to work... it looked good when I left my house but not when I got to work.

So after much searching I finally found something locally so that I can go on a run this weekend... Avon 200/55r18. Not to sure about the ride but it does fill in the wheel well a little more but looks so skinny from the rear... dont have a pic from the rear yet but will put one on tomorrow.

I suggest that if you are getting close to needing a tire you may want to start checking around locally for the availablity of the tire you want... It just sucked because I had to go to a dealer that has really poor customer service and I swore I would not go back to them, but I had no choice.

To be honest I'm surprized you got over 14 thousand miles from your rear tyre?
Believe it or not it dont matter to me... she got a sheet metal screw in the stock Dunlop two weeks after I got her and that was when the Metzler went on.

Oh and she does have 14, 603 miles as of just this morning!!!

Metzler's are known to make it in the 12k mile range. My dad put me on to them and I was very pleased with the handling. The Avon is about a 8k mile tire but I really was not able to shop for a new Metzler. I will be buying a new tire here in about two months and it will be another Metzler because I was so happy with it.

And for your stock tire there RSS... just bite me!!! LOL

14,000 mile tire? Cool! Nice to know and looking forward to the better tire life than my previous bike.

no kidding! I had to replace the tires on my zx10 every 1k-1.5k miles! 3 fronts and 4 rears in ONE summer!

I was talking to the sales manager at my dealership today and he told me the same thing about sport bikes... I guess I cant complain to much after hearing that but it still sucked having to try and find a tire that fit the Fury.
