How much lower did he get his than Low and Mean? Low and Mean's lowers it by 1.5". Tony's seemed like a lot of work for not much more right?
I think we're talking about two different things here. What L&M did was lower the whole rear end of the bike with a different spring. What Tony did was just lower the back half of his fender which brought the rear of the fender closer to the tire. He didn't actually lower the bike.

If I'm incorrect, please, someone correct me.

To answer Gar it lowered it 2 1/8” at the tail light.

The missing 1/4” is why the front push in clips don't work. The front of the fender is now about 1/4” away from touching. There is no bowing in the fender and it is still bolted down by the three seat bolts.

I understood him to say that the front clips still worked but only just. Many guys mentioned that they were going to do it or have it done ASAP. Which brings us back to the original question. Has anyone else tried it yet?

You guys are talking about two different clips. Tony fury is talking about the front fender clips and he is right about the space. I think you are talking about the front of the seat. And yes it still works but barley. And yes it lowered it 2 1/8”.

Could try to use those longer panel holders to hold the seat down, same concept, different design (something similar to this), it will just help hold it steady and ease some peoples minds on the subject:

That may work for the fender but the seat is fine. Also the seat does not use those clips
I know the seat does not use those clips, but you can use them is what I was saying as a substitute since the stock clips for the rear fender will not be used anymore....

I just said it wrong, it's for the fender... sorry bout that... Use them for the fender instead of the fender clips... does that make more sense? :D

Before I make any cut's, I am going to ensure my C & C seat will handle it.
Unlike the stock seat that has two plastic forks that slide under the the mount, the C & C seat has just a metal tongue.
This is my main concern since the seat is going to have to flex downward where it bolts into the fender.
The fastback seat only fastens where the rear passenger pad normally bolts in.
I have compared pictures between the L & M spring change of RSS bike versus Tony's fender mod.
Tony's fender mod visually looks more concentric to the wheel.
It's just my observation but the spring change appears to be just raising the wheel relative to the tilted fender.
It doesn't address the forward tilted fender.
I'm not so concerned with the plastic fender clips, they are more or less guide pin's for the bolt holes to line up.
I do have a couple of those clips RSS described above.

I was wondering about the C&C seat with this mod as well. When I first put it on the bike, I noticed that I had to flex it a bit and push down on it to get the bolt in. How are you going to be able to make sure that the seat will work before actually pushing down the frame and fender?

By removing the fender and flexing the seat over the fender frame to see if the metal tongue will make the stretch or not. I may have to weld an extension on the metal tongue. Not sure until I flex it and measure

Ah, of course. My simple mind can't come up with these simple ideas that seem to come easily to a genious such as yourself. :D I'd be lost without the brains of you and the other smart people around here.

I also was concerned about the flex in the seat. One of the first things I did was took the seat off and put it on my leg. I pushed down on both sides to see if the seat had enough flex in it. And it did. You may want to try the same thing.
