I have a 07 Royal Star Tour Deluxe, Red/Black, new metzlers, 6100 miles. I made the mistake and went into the local Honda dealer, fell in love with the Fury. Looking for "Trade". The Yam is paid for, Title in hand.
Austin TX area. Can travel a bit.

Like everything, there are thing we like, and don't like. It is a great bike, I've gone from Austin to Memphis, and Austin to West TX. The Cruise Control is cool, but I don't really care for it. I like a throttle lock better. Carbs, who uses carbs anymore? The gas mileage is so-so. My old HD got way better. I'm sure there will be issues with the Fury. My long trips are over. A long trip for me is like 200 mile (Two tanks of gas on a Fury) But I would still need saddle bags. I'm always hauling something. My Yam still has like 3+ yrs on its factory warranty.

Ebay is full of low ball deals, I know what Mine is worth, and Craigslist is full spam/scam stuff. Oh the right "Deal" will come by. I can wait, Honda will make a ton of them, and dealers will start making low ball offers on them, There are Dealers in MS, doing it now..
I just took a 85 mile ride on the Yam before the heat of the day hits. It's to be 101 today.

It was 107 last week. This is Aug weather, It came in June. Needless to say, we don't go out much. I think I put something like 400 mile on the Yam scene Jan. This is why I don't need a "Tour" bike.

Your best bet might be to trade it in on a Fury...

Trade In

The local Honda dealer where I live gave me a price for a trade in of an 07 Sportster. At least it was what NADA or Kelly said to expect. You know you can pull both these up on the net and list your bike model/make/year and it will crank out an expected price in moments.

If you have this huge bike you need to really decide if you want a fun bike like the fury or a car on two wheels. There's gonna be a big difference. Been there done that so to speak.

KBB says its worth $10,125.00 Retail. Dealers will give you nothing on trade, so, like I said, I'll trade for a Fury, lets face it, there are dealers already giving "deals" under MSRP. and I know there will be folks that will buy one, and not like it, and be looking for a more comfy bike. Heck I may even loose interest, and just keep it. after all its paid for, has J&M CB, liquid chrome speakers, driver and passenger back rests, led tail lights, removable windshield and rear sissy bar, and some chrome do dads. So If the Fury doesn't take off, I'm sure there will be a deal in there somewhere.

I went on a group ride with a guy on a Fury, 245 mile, he was hammered at the end, I was still comfy. Odds are I'll pass on a Fury for a while.. Thanks all.

I got a seat mod from MeanCityCycles and can ride for hours now with no issues on my Fury.

Good luck

Perhaps a forum for Stars or where folks are not Fury enthusiasts would be a better source for finding a willing trader?

Best of luck on the search.

you might try askin that guy who was given a fury awhile back...he seems like a good candidate for a fury trade...(check back a few threads ago, some topic about big dogs or something like that)... he said he collects all sorts of different bikes. Good luck man, you won't regret it , I guarantee it!!!
