Question to those of you that have tribal grips.. are they uncomfortable? It seems to me that the contour of the grip may prove uncomfortable over time. Whatcha think?

Example style:

Same question for levers. An example would be the Zombie levers from Kury.

I tried some of those out on a fellow bikers ride... Namely Trips, and didn't find them comfortable for the minute or so that I fondled them... Seemed a little beer can like to me, but hopefully somebody has some more mileage on their opinion than a backyard quarterback's opinion...

Here's another 6 pages for ya if ya want to look through these grips after everybody weighs in on their opinion...

Oh, love the Zombie lever's though... two thumbs up for that one...!

I can vouch for the Zombie levers... They are the bomb.. luv em...

Trip would have to chine in on the grips, they seem fatter than my ISO grips to me..

So far sounds good for the levers.. I need the skinny on the grips!
The levers are definitely great. I don't know about these exact grips but I did have some very similar looking billet chrome grips that looked like a million bucks but I never took into consideration the road and engine vibration that is transferred to the hands through a solid grip as this. These may be better and different but I found mine to be very slippery in the summer months when your hands sweat and cold on the hand in the cooler months. Maybe I was previously spoiled and I took them back off and went back to the Kuryakyn ISO grips.
I just had the ISO grips put on my bike today and love the feel. I haven’t been able to ride, but they are much better that the stock and really give me the impression that they will absorb the road vibration that Dave is mentioning. I also got the throttle boss, now considering one for the left side just to balance it out.

Forgot, The Kury Zombie levers are great and really fit your fingers good. I'm not crazy about the skull's but they have the other optional peice to go in. I am currently moving away from the "skull/Zombie" theme.
i got a set of diamond grips from ebay and they are comphy.
I've got the Tribal grips you are speaking of. They provide a very good feel, I've almost got 5K miles with the grips... no hiccups and no regrets ;)

Hey Richard, thats exactly what I went with,I did get the throttle boss on both grips for that reason and I went with blue accent ring to make it match the paint, wont be able to try them out for another 5 weeks since my bike is on the operating table at the dealers.Yes levers also,RSS had all good to say about them also.
STILETTOS,I forgot to mention they are a addition also, cant get the wife to wear a pair but the bike will.
Fury 1,

I just looked up the “accent rings” and now wished I would have got them too. When I pick my bike up today, I will see if they have any in stock. This is one mod I can probably do myself. LOL. Did you get the Knurled or Smooth?

Knurled,to me in the photo they look like they might be a shade lighter than the smooth and might blend better with the paint.

Richard, I picked up a set of the red smooth accent rings also and they do look good on the grips. I think you can add up to three rings before there is not enogh room for the screws to tighten properly two if you are using stilletto ends. I put on the the end weights instead of the stillettos because they are suppose to help dampen the road vibration a little better. You can never be to comfortable when riding. It might be a little over kill because I have used the ISO grip before on other bikes and they really are the best for comfort. I've got a set of the throttle boss coming for the grips also. I a little confused because several inquiries to venders about them have informed me that they don't think they will fit properly with the end weights but I think they are wrong I was given some bad information. I can't see why they wont work and if they don't I figure I can adapt them to make them fit.
As is always the case, each to their own. It's funny though, the three types of grips I wanted were all talked about, the ISOs, Tribal and lastly the Diamond..

I'm surprised to hear about the zombie levers, I thought for sure those would be uncomfortable, sounds like they're okay. Like Richard said, I'm not crazy about the zombie inserts, but the appearance I like.
For anyone wondering as I previously was if the kuryakyn throttle boss would fit the ISO kuryakyn grips when using the end weights. My new pair of throttle boss arrived in the mail today and they fit on the grips with the end weights with no problem. I was previously told by to vendors they would not work on these grips when using the end weights. I couldn't understand why and wanted to see for myself and I'm glade I did because they do fit the grips with the end weights ok and look nice as a matching set with enough room for one accent ring only.
That's good news Dave. I got mine today and went with the blue accent ring cause of you guys. If Fury 1 wouldn't have brought it up, I never would have known. Thank you Fury 1, they are a great addition. Even though you can't see much from this pic.

Your welcome Richard, looks like you went with the knurled, that looks sweet,I have yet to see mine, does the color look close to the color of the bike?
By the looks of Richards photo is look pretty close. They no longer have the knurled ones available in the red and only sell it in smooth red but it does match pretty good. Richard might want to look into putting some ends on it the grips and some control covers. The look really comes together and looks sweet.
