Can a shop tune your bike without the Power Commander.

For Ex: when I had my old VTX i brought them the pipes and the hypercharger and they tuned it so it ran right.

Can they do the same thing with the Fury?

Does the tuner need to be utilized by a shop or is it plug and play like on a car.

Does the power commander come with a tune already and you just install it or does a shop have to make all the changes.

The Fuggin Fuel controller from Fuggin Fab comes pre programmed for intake and exhaust, plus you can add or remove fuel with the use of 2 buttons on the controller.
is that so that depending on the altitude you live at, you can adjust rich or lean accordingly? I've ordered the fuggin fuel controller with my mayhems but I didn't know it was adjustable...

Our Fuggin Fuel Controller is adjustable, but you really don't need to make any adjustments at all. We have done all the work and testing. It is set-up set for pipes & air-filter changes.

I contest to Doug's statement above...
I love their controller and my combination is S & S air with Samson exhaust.. The thing rocked right out of the box.. easy to install..:)

Kind of.. Well when tuning my CBR with my PC I found a website that had maps for the mods I had done. Then brought my laptop out to my bike and and watched the difference.

I am not good with tools and such but did manage to install my PC on my CBR1000rr w/o to much trouble.

Some people that sell the Power Commanders will/can program them to what you have done before shipping. However some websites might already have the maps posted but being brand new it might take a little bit. Unless you find a good Dyno Shop.

Well I purchased the following:

Cobra Pipes
Power Commander
1-3/4 in risers
S & S Air Intake

1300 bucks down the drain in 15 min

Cant wait to put all it on there!
I'm kicking aroung the idea of getting the S&S Air Intake. Currently I am running cobras with baffles removed & Fi2000. Can you (or anyone) give a review of the S&S?

I have the S&S and it's been just fine for me. It does stick out more than the stock air cleaner does, but has never presented a problem being uncomfortable on the right leg.
When I first put it on I thought it would be a problem for my leg position but it never did. You can acquire different covers for it besides the standard tear drop.
my 2 cents

I have to agree with Doug and Tony... have the Fuggin controller and it did do some to my tuning and was symbol. I do not have my intake yet but did the adjustment with Doug for my Morton Inferno's and it did the job to lean them out.
On a side note, both Fuggin and Morton, not to mention the guys at the other shops here on the forum give great advise and help all around... Thanks.

How much is the fuggin fab fuel controller?
501Fury:
This is an old post from 2009.
I have a Fuggin Controller if your interested. I have the original packaging and instructions that came with it.
You pay the shipping and it's yours. I think I paid $250 for it back in the day. I did test it on the bike about 3 weeks ago, it does work.
There are something like 6 settings that you can make with this controller.
I think I ran it for a year or two prior to switching to a Cobra controller.

If you have the cash, I would recommend getting the ECU re-flashed instead of getting a fuel controller.

PM me if your interested.

Tony
