I recently purchased a turn signal conversion conversion kit from Electrical connection . The lights worked great for about 5 minutes, then suddenly started blinking very rapidly. I believe this is due to the load being to much for the flasher relay. I am stumped as to what I should do or can do. I would rather not remove the conversion kit. The lights look great and add a little bit of saftey, WHEN THEY WHERE WORKING PROPERLY. I am going to call the company on monday morning, but am hoping to get some help from you guy before then. Thanks.

Well the original lights are still there the kit just adds a string of red led to the rear turn signal to function as stop and running signals and they are tied into the turn signal so they turn off when the turn signal flashes.

Grober, check to make sure all the lights are functioning. I went with the Kury smoked lenses, when I went to replace the bulbs, one was not seated correctly, and I got a very rapid blink. I think that is the bikes way of telling you one signal light is out. Hope this helps.

I will check that. One thought i had is to just disconnect the turn signal conversion kit from the turn signal and the red led running light that in inside the turn signal house will just stay lit, which shouldn't be a big deal.

I just took a night ride and the kit really looks nice and definatly adds some saftey value. it brightens up the back of the bike nicely. I will post a video of it in action later. Now if i could just get them to work properly.

You were right. I called electrical connection and they said to check the same thing. turns out one of my front bulbs was not fully seated, it was working but not in the socket all the way. Everything is in working order and looks great. thanks for the help, I guess thats what this place is for!

Hey Grober,

I liked your vid on the turn signal conversion kit from Electrical Connection. Just ordered a set for myself today....anything I need to know in installing them, other than whatever directions they will send? Thought you might have a tip or two that might make it easier, like exactly where you tapped into the wires, etc...

Any help at all will be greatly appreciated,
Bob

Don't think he is on here much. I think his bike was totaled.

Thanks Chopped, I remember some posts about someone getting run off the road into a truck in New Orleans, guess it was him. bummer. Anyone else out there have this conversion kit?

Side note, been a bunch of motorcycle wrecks down here in South Mississippi over the past few weeks. 4 people have been killed on bikes, all separate instances....I was figuring the additional lights on back might be an added safety feature at night, at least regarding the people coming up on me from behind anyway.....accidents have mostly been from people pulling out in front of the bikes....heck, one guy was just killed a couple of days ago on a lawn mower...got hit by a pickup while he was mowing near the road.

Hey Tony,

Yes, ordered it day before yesterday. No, didn't see the kuryakyn kit, but will definitely get it when I decide to convert to billet signals....right now I'm running the stock signals (lollipops) and just wanted something quick for now.....I'm waiting for more options regarding the fury before I pull the trigger on what exactly I want to do with the bike. I, personally, like to basically ride the bike stock for a while before I really do any serious modding to it. Guess I'm just querky that way.....I like to get a feel for her first. Only changes I've made to my bike thus far are getting the bulb you recommended (which I'm very pleased with - bright is bright even in daytime), and the turn signal converter - which I should receive this weekend. I got the chin spoiler/led and the small sissybar w/pad when I got the bike. One other thing I've gotten for the bike is that buttybuddy seat.....haven't had my wife on it yet to test it....gonna run it without the straps on the pillion....should work fine....will probably get her on it this Sunday. Take the bike next week to get the first service done.

Sure do appreciate your help Tony, as well as all of you other members! Good to see people genuinely helping each other!!!!

People helping people.. it's a good thing...
Stopped downtown HB last night, I got more compliments on the air cleaner and grill.. I guess it must be the skull halloween thing..lol
I was at a stop light on the way back and was asked by a dude in the Ford F-150 Harley-Davidson edition ask if the bike was a custom..
of course the usual reply "It's a Honda".. He was like. "no Shit, is that that new Fury?" as the light changed he yelled to me he has to go check them out..:D

Wooden horse, I suggested this kit to Grober. It's really easy to setup I think the hardest part was running the cables through the stem to the light bezel. Seriously easy to get working.

Thanks Scratch, didn't know you'd recommended it to him, much obliged.

Did you solder the wires or just use those "t" thingy connectors? You still using it, or did you go with something else?

Thanks for the help,
Bob
