I just received my C&C Fury seat. Very comfortable. But, the stock version of the Fury sport tour seat (with the full pillion) pulls me back from the handle bars to the point where my risers are useless and I am reaching for the bars--again!

Plus, I hate that the pillion tab used to bolt to the rear fender sticks out 1.25 inches and is exposed.

My problem, though, is with the vendor I purchased the C&C seat from: American Side Road Cycles.

Perhaps they follow this thread. I alerted American Side via Email and voice mail two days ago that I needed an RMA and haven't heard from them since.
I resent my notifications again yesterday. I cc'd C&C and Chuck mentioned that he'd seen the Email.

btw: Chuck at C&C has been cool from the start; he can fix this with the lumbar add-on of a few inches. But, I'd like the RMA from American Side and then I can change to a single rider seat and not have to deal with the pillion tab issue. That's where I need the RMA; I need the full refund, less stocking fee, so I can start a new order.

So, here's my public shout-out to James at American Side...hear me now and respond. Lots of folks read these posts, James.

Thanks for the heads up with this vendor and its good advise for others making a C& C seat purchase. I would suggest to anyone purchasing the C & C seat to just go through them. Chuck at C&C seat can answer any and all questions with advise on the seat that is right for choice for you. Don't ever get involved with a middle man if you don't have it never turns out good and your much better always just going directly to the source. Hope it all works out for you and I know Chuck at C& C will do his part to make it good on his end. Good Luck!

It's been 4 days--no contact from American Side Road Cycles. Unless this guy has had a spell of poor health or family issues...no excuse. I'll send the seat to Chuck. He'll finish it out for me with a lumbar push of an inch or two.

Well, if you live in Virginia, they are located in Sterling, Dulles area. You would have to call Dept of Corporations to find Phone and address. I just do not do business with any co's that do not provide an Address and phone Number. They are a Divison of Omnia Vincit Amor Inc. Glad you could work it out with Chuck.

PS- They do have a page on Face Book, with an area for comments, why don't you be the first, and leave one!

PS My offer still stands.

Wish I had done a little more searching before going through this for my C&C Seat. I choose to as I was able to purchase my swing arm bag and seat all at the same time, and just order my customizations at once. However, that order was placed 2 months ago. Needless to say, I still have not gotten either of them. It took over 2 weeks when I initally ordered to get an email response from Jim. After a couple back and forths describing exactly what I wanted, I sent the final email accepting and such. Since I sent that email I have not heard anything back, that was Jul 2nd. I guess a month of patience and several extra "check-up" emails arn't enough to earn a response from this guy. Lesson learned, now back to the beginning of ordering my seat...grr, my butt is ready for an improvement...

You can do what you want, but if it was me I would send a PM to Mental and see if he could help you out, he's the man when it comes to getting stuff done.

Just to throw it out there in case it helps somehow, They may be slow to respond to emails/messages if they are away at a bike rally. I know Sturgis is about to start, so they may already be en route or setting up out there...

Not saying that it makes it okay, just reminding all that they may be out of the office which may explain slower than normal response times....

And if an etailer is going to shut down for an event such as this ... they should notice as much on their web site or via an auto response, "Out of office" email reply.

I had a good experience with them for a swing arm bag. Placed order and received quickly. However, many organizations can easily provide stocked product and do it well, but a company will shine if they can jump in and handle customer service...even the sticky situations. That is where a company becomes mediocre or amazing.
