What's up with the ugly ass welds on the frame...
Most people don't like'em, but I think they look nostalgic....What's up with the ugly ass welds on the frame...
I have to agree, gives it some character. Most people don't like'em, but I think they look nostalgic....
But the difference is, Honda did it intentionally! LOL.I like them now that I figured out they are the only ones in the world that are worst than my welds.
I like'em.Are you guys serious they were done intentionally? Most bikes people want looking sleek, IE welds should just be at hard turns, and joining of tubes. I dont mind them that much, but if it was intentional that is the dumbest thing i have ever seen done
Thanks Bar, I was feeling pretty good about my gum drop welds and now you went and ruined my hole view on them. You really know who to kill a guy. I guess if anything else my weld job when completed with the Tony tail will look consistent with all other welds on the bike when I get done with it.But the difference is, Honda did it intentionally! LOL.
Cheers
Two weeks ago I talked with a Honda rep for an hour as we looked at my Fury. I thought i had an engine noise and didn't like the response i was getting from my dealer, so i asked for a Rep. And Yes the welds are intentionally ugly , the ugly ass welds below the down tube split (pictured below) looks as we cut something out for a mod. ALL the welds around whatever you call this(pictured below) as well as the slight misalignment of the horizontal tube. All these and more was to give it a homemade chopped chopper Look as a base bike for us Fury peoples to start with, authentic look as he called it. My exact Question to him was " Why did Honda got threw all the effort to make such a sleek, clean bike and leave these Crappy (not exact) welds for the world to see?"Are you guys serious they were done intentionally? LOL.... and you still bought the bike! Maybe next time they can find an even more home made concept and see if they make millions! Just think if it was you that came up with the fury concept. Those guys were simply on track with what is being asked for in the market place. Two weeks ago I talked with a Honda rep for an hour as we looked at my Fury. i ditto that.i could clean them up and you would never see them but i think that would take away from the bike.I like'em.
Agreed... they add some flavor to the fire for you to talk smack to Harley riders...i ditto that.i could clean them up and you would never see them but i think that would take away from the bike.
Sorry 'bout that Dave, didn't mean to hurt your feelings; just my apparently ineffective attempt at humor. My bad..........Thanks Bar, I was feeling pretty good about my gum drop welds and now you went and ruined my hole view on them. You really know who to kill a guy.
