I had a 57 Eldorado with 2 4's in 1965 when I was in the Navy. I could afford to feed it then. LOL

Grace is 97% complete. Here’s my opinion (rating on 1 easy to 10 need a rocket scientist); starting with the chin spoiler: ease of install is a 8 only because u need to work the fiberglass to get it “just right” and the bottom brackets (they don’t supply any hardware) are a real pain in the ass to mount but it’s possible… chrome mesh was me doing some fab work. My son did the paint and he said the chin was a pretty good mold so minimal prep work was needed. The only flaw in its construction is the mounting nut. It’s embedded in the fiberglass but not very well and it did come out when I torqued the bolt so I had to drill it through and use the spiked nut which wasn’t a total disaster but the could improve the mounting connection.
On to the forward controls:
Accutronix (I know we won’t say it Hoggie 🤣)
Ease of install I would put in the 9 range because u need to work with the brakes and for some that can be tricky. The hardest part is removing all the stock brake parts. Took me about 2-2 1/2 hours to remove all the stock parts, install the new forwards… maybe 1 1 1/2 hours and I still have to bleed the brakes. Other members have done better write ups then me so check them out for minor details.
Rear end;
Mean Cycles taildragger fender.
ease of install I would put at 10 because manufacturers quality was lacking.First they sent me the wrong fender. They exchanged of course for the”correct” fender but it did take about 3 weeks to get the exchanged fender. It needs to be totally modified to fit properly. Paint and prep was extensive. The mold they’re using is not good quality and the quality of the fiberglass is questionable. Wouldn’t recommend their product.

lighting:
I kept the stock lollipops with the kuryaken bezels (I like them) and the tail light is a LED diamond from chrome glow. I reused the stock connectors just in case I wanna put it back to stock. The weird thing I noticed before was that the rear lollipops don’t stay on when the bike is running like a running light… I thought they did 🤷🏼‍♂️…. They do blink properly and the taillight has a running light so I’m cool as far as road worthy but any ideas on the “running” lights would be welcomed unless they never worked as running lights and I never noticed 🤷🏼‍♂️… to be continued

Looks great!!! I don't think the rear turns are wired for running lights.... it's been a LOOOOONG time since I put my rear light setup together, but I seem to recall that the rear lollipops are a 2-wire plug, so no running lights. It's been a decade, so I could be totally wrong....

Dam, she looks good!
Your son did a great job too.
I bet there isn't another like it.
Your not crazy, only running light is the taillight/brake light.

Little ride around the Ormond loop. Then a wash with S100 quick high-speed run to dry her off. :devilish: Now for the chrome polish. Here some new pics,

What are you doing?
What are you doing?
Jet Hot coating FSD's
L&M rear fender
Paint
VR69 Grill
Wrap front signals
STG cover for exhaust mount

Theoretically, just waiting. I got stuff in 4 different states right now.

Can't wait to see that fender. I've been kicking around the idea for a reaper.
