What aftermarket mods void the warranty?
Any modification that alters the operation of a subsequently failed component will void the warranty for that component. i.e. "Any damage that results from modifications not approved by Honda (engine tune-up, vehicle performance modifications, reduction of lights, enlargements and other changes)." Honda dealers can exercise some discretionary approval but be prepared for denial.

Although not normally enforced it is against U.S. Federal law and some Canadian provincial laws to replace "any moving parts of the vehicle, or parts of the exhaust or intake system, with parts other than those specified by the manufacturer."

my dealer said go for it.
I'd get that in writing :) since all the exclusions are clearly already in print . Not such a big deal on a one year warranty but if you've paid for an extended...... Some extended warranties require approval by an agent of the insurer so the dealer's say so won't be worth the paper it's printed on .
