I have had this problem before,If I remember correctly (some) Kury lights have a circuit in them and they require a constant hot, the Honda running lights turn off when the turn signals go on, so you need to get a different hot, if you want to test the lights, use a 9v battery, black to ground, touch the other 2 (violet and blue) to hot and they should come on. I don't use the running lights on my fronts because I didn't want to run another hot to them. If the headlight comes on the power should be to the running lights, if the horn honks, the power is available to the turns.

Color codes are helpful in locating wires in a large connector or harness but it is always wise to verify with a test light which only takes a minute or two ;). Not much fun having to re-solder connections just because you misinterpreted similar color codes or the factory made a change to the bike color codes on one or two wires shown differently in the manual .
True, but Honda hasn't changed the color code on the lights for at least the last 3 decades. It is the 1 constant in Hondas changes..

Headlight turns on with the key in the "on" position, horn works also. Wires are soldered together, tried to hook up 9v battery lead, light doesnt come on. pull bulb, connected to battery, it works. Could the circuit in the housing be bad?

I looked at my VTX, it has the Kury led bullets (my Fury has the t/s in the mirrors and THEY are the ones with the circuit in them ) my lights are hooked up just like yours, and they all (run and turn ) work, if neither side is working I would suspect a bad ground, did you hook both Kury black leads to the same ground ? If so I would jumper a lead from the black to a known good ground (touch it to the forks or the steering lock, or a bare bolt on the frame) and see if they come on.

LMAO! Had a flash-back; reminds me of my days in the business (way back in the last century) when we'd tell 'em, "Hey, I can't overhaul it over the phone!". LOL.

Cheers

NMUCat:
You should pick up the Fury Service Manual..
A complete fold out wiring diagram is provided in the back for both the California type and 49 States/Canada models
But beside that, it has details on everything to remove and replace on the Fury..
Nice manual to have..:)

You should check into the Bedford PA honda dealers web page. They have microphiche, I'm not sure that is spelled right. Their site has helped me out a lot in the past when looking at parts to see how things go back together. I'm not sure if they have wiring diagrams, but it's worth a look.

No it is not fixed. I disconnected everything, hooked up stock light and it works. Hooked up Kury light to 9v battery, nothing :(

So with that, it has to be the Kury lights....right? Guess I have to return them and get a new set.
