Drilling out your stock exhaust with 5 or 7 1/2" holes, the deep mod is when you drill deeper into the mufflers (with a 10" long drill bit)

 

I was just curious as the VTX guys do it alot. If it wouldnt hurt the bike may be a temp fix while we wait for pipes come out.

Yes!

And i think at least one guy reported that his ran like crap after he drilled out the pipes because it messed up the back compresion.

 

Ive heard of people taking a 1" 1/4 metal hole bit and drilled the baffles out completely leaving literally a 1" 1/4 hole completely through the muffler. Gave it deeper, louder sound, especially when goosing it, but when kept at a reasonable rpm they could pass by a cop without them raising an eyebrow.
