depends on how loud it is if I keep it, I like to be heard although I am not in the "loud pipes saves lives" crowd that Hardley riders are in. I suspect it will be too quiet and I will upgrade.

I would put on some pipes for sure. Im not in that class either but i like it loud enough to hear. thats for sure.

Honda Exhaust

I examined a couple of Furys in Greenville, SC, February 22. The exhaust is not a real one, but a chrome cowling over a narrow tube, as is standard for Honda. I did not get to hear one running.

The Cobra representative told me they are starting on the real aftermarket exhaust pipes this week.

I am disappointed that the wiring is not hidden in the handlebars, but I really like the light-weight feel of the bike. It seemed much lighter than it is: very well balanced!

Well actually the Fury has the single pin 1300cc Honda engine which sounds absolutly increadable with a nice exhaust. I have owned several Harleys and Victorys as well as VTXs I will say the 1300 single pin engine is definetly a winner in the sound department with a nice Cobra or V&H exhaust, it will make Harley owners turn there heads every time.

Anyone who knocks Honda has never owned a Honda. I ride on long trips and pass an average of 6-7 broken down Harley Davidsons on the side of the road and I just smile as I ride on. I might mention I have never passed a broken down Honda in my life. Hmm I say hmm.

Cobra USA, Vance & Hines, Hard Krome are some of the aftermarket exhaust manufactures for the Honda 1300cc mil. Not sure I like the looks of any of the current offerings used for the 1300 VTX. The Fury chopper needs a more refined look, perhaps shorter, curvier, more elegant, I guess.....instead of a cruiser look.

Of all the exhaust pics on this thread I like the twisted sisters exhaust look best. But I would perfer it in flat black if I got the matte silver special edition fury.

Cobra Swept pipes

I just got the new swept fury exhaust from Cobra installed to day and this is what they look like. Performance is Good, and it sounds sooo much better than stock!

You probably didn't. Let me sum it up for you in terms you can understand, they ain't doin so well! More layoffs coming, more dealers closing, sounds alot like GM, don't ya think? Gee, If Harley does go under, they can always ressurect it . Just like Indian Motorcycles! I wonder how well they are doing, trying to sell their base model at $30000.00. Hey Springmaker, some of the Harley guys you "got here" own Harleys...I'm one of 'em. I contribute to this forum too. I like all brands, including Harley Davidson...I'm more interested in being a motorcyclist. FWIW HD's base model isn't thirty grand either. Why don't you give it a rest concerning "Harley guys"? If you've got a beef with HD 1, give him hell...not all "Harley guys". Yeah, his post was irritating I'll give you that. Good Lord.

 

I have about 1400 miles on my fury and the exhaust has gotten 2 times louder since the day that i bought it. Still need some pipes though

 

Did you do any fuel management upgrades?

 

Cobra Fi2000R for the Fury

I also installed the Cobra Fi2000R,#92-1633, and the bike runs great! The bike ran a little rough with just the pipes on. Now my bike runs smooth, looks good, and sounds great.

I thought the FI-2000R wasn't available t'il Aug. Does it pull hard through out the rpm's? How's the performance with it? One last thing, where did you put the unit?

My Viper-2's sound awesome. They are really loud. Rolled up next to a harley with hard chrome pipes on it 30 minutes ago and couldn't hear his bike. He looked at me, smiled, and said it sounded good. Here is a short video, but the pipes are louder than they sound in the video.

That's where your wrong. The Honda's 1300 motor is a single pin crank just as Hardly uses in there motorcycles. The Honda 1300 single pin crank will produce that same "Spiting and popping sound from the exhaust just like the hardlys". The Honda will just run forever..

 

I saw these guys (RAW Design) at Delmarva and the Fury sounded great with there new pipes. I was told there is also a video on youtube, just type in RAW Design and they should be there..

 

Put Raw "Reapers" on fury and it is now rolling thunder. Cobra pipes are to mellow. so good.....I cant hear my friends HD crying for repairs. Ha Ha
