Kuryakyn Speakers....do they actually work?

I'm very close to shelling out the money for these speakers because music and riding go hand-in-hand and ear buds are just way too unsafe (plus I can't get through a military gate with them on). My question is, has anyone know or heard of these speakers working on Furys? I hate spending money on things that end up not working. I've got Cobra pipes, but overall they don't make the bike overly loud and my thought was these speakers' sound may be hearable.

I'd love to hear other people's sucess or lack there of with these speakers or other brands.

Thanks.

Do you ride with a helmet? Helmet with speakers built into it might be an easier option? With bluetooth you would be able to stream the music wirelessly from your phone. No wires :)
I have both full helmet and polo style. I'm looking for something that will work while using the polo (my preferred helmet). I've been using ear buds, but it's extremely unsafe and not very smart.

I'm in the same boat as you and I was going to pull the trigger. My boss who is also a rider put me on to Shark Radio. He has a VTX 1800 with pipes and he has the shark radio set up. He says he does 70-80 next to big rigs wearing a full face lid and can hear everything perfect. I'm going to grab these sometime in the next 2 weeks. They are 1/3 the price and from the looks of it sound louder then Kuryakyn. theres a few you tube videos of them. Shark SHKMRC3080DBC 250w motorcycle snowmobile audio system W ' 3" speakers
Thanks, I'll look into it. Why are they so cheap though? That worries me.

I generally never listen to music while riding. On the few times that I do, I only put one earbud in. I don't think it' safe either wearing them...the hubby does and that scares me. Plus, how are you going to hear all the compliments, about your Fury, from people as they're driving beside you?!?
hahaha....love that!! People do love to stare and comment about a Fury, no doubt.

For me, there's nothing better than cruising on the open roads, feeling the wind (anti-windsheilds), and rocking out. I YouTube'd some videos on these shark speakers.....I may give them a try.
