5th gear slips into neutral

I saw another mention in the forums of going from 4th to 5th and getting a neutral feeling. My problem is that my fury is brand new, and in the first 200 miles, twice I was in 5th gear and then the transmission slips and the engine revs and I lose power (as if I'm in neutral). I have to pull the clutch and reclick the pedal up to set it back in 5th gear.

So I'm a little concerned now. Is this a common Fury issue? What can cause a 5th gear disengage? Gear selector fork issue? Collar issue?

I have just over 200 miles and I'm bringing it to the dealer for the 600 mile service when I get there. I'll let them know of this issue and I'll keep my ears and eyes open so I can strictly document how it happens. But yesterday's ride I was definitely cruising in 5th on the highway and it slipped into neutral, engine screamed, and I had to reset it back into 5th and it ran fine the rest of the way.

Thanks guys.

I've had the same issue and spoke to the dealer. They looked to see if any service notices regarding and found none. Also, since its not a reproducible problem and occurs when it wants they said they wouldn't even know where to start. I spoke to Honda Service Support ( 866-784-1870 ) and they stated they were not aware of any issues. The advisor did take my info and recorded complaint. The more people that do this may lead Honda to look into it.....

Don't worry about it,had issues first 600 miles now not an issue, shifted into 5th and boom neutral ,just kiccked her back up and i'm in 5th.It will take care of it self,i didn't misshift or pull up soft it just slipped really a non issue.Just get me a fifth gear that doesn't act like 4th then i will be happy....
