ECU Reflash worth it?

i haven't been on here in a long time, i seen the threads but my lord i hated to sift all the way through them.
If you check out the link in my signature it will take you to the condensed version of the reflash thread which is a much more manageable read and it has all the pertinent info you will need.

Best bang for the buck in my opinion. Makes it a whole different animal.

Also... when you read in the reflash thread that "higher octane fuel is recommended with the reflash" , be aware that I put that in there for the express reason that some guys, in the hotter climates, were having issues with the bike stalling at the lower (660rpm) idle and they reported that running the higher Octane fuel helped to alleviate this problem.

Since then Don usually won't lower your idle beyond 700-750rpm unless specifically requested and you acknowledging that you understand that your bike may try to stall at idle.

Aside from that the higher octane is really of no benefit because Don doesn't go to the extreme when advancing the timing on these bikes.

Should I just go ahead and manually reset the IAC valve since I'm having a reflash? Will the reflash calibrate it upon initial startup?
It's not required to manually reset it but it won't hurt anything either.

Just remember, the first time you start the bike up after installing the reflashed ECU, to not touch the throttle at all until the bike is up to operating temperature and the cooling fan turns on. Then shut the bike off and restart it and then you can ride it.

This process allows the ECU to relearn the IAC valve properly.

Everybody knows it is because of "The Virus" that shipping is so slow and everything is on backorder and customer service sucks... clearly. (He said sarcastically)

It amazes me how everyone blames their lack of customer service, or (insert whatever here)_
On the virus.... NO, it is just piss poor service, fess up to it... lol
