Cover for the Ignition Switch & Battery Status Monitor

Photoshopped the three LEDs to show illuminated colors.

Took 20 shots trying to catch the green LED flashing ~ no luck.

is that the factory bracket or have you made something up, looks very tidy and i like it alot.

The factory top engine stay is the right half and the rest is fabricated and welded on to support the relocated switch. I made a cardboard mock-up and used it as a pattern.

I would love a step by step on how you did this. I want to do it as well.

 

Measure for clearance, weld similar bracket (one piece bent) to engine top mount

and transfer ignition switch from left to right side. Switch harness 2 wire connector is located above and to the right, under tank. Switch mounting holes have captive nuts welded to back of bracket . Do a mock-up in cardboard. Top 'plate' is for stability but would not be needed if heavier gauge metal is used for bent bracket which would also allow switch mounting holes to be threaded eliminating captive nuts.

Cover with CTEK battery charger port is optional and is cut and bent from sheet metal, secured to the forward engine top mount frame bolt.

To clean up left side tool box area see V-Mod.
